“I love reading for so many reasons. It really is my escape from everyday life. It’s how I calm down. It’s how I detach. It’s how I fall in love with other places that I will never go to. It’s how I empathize with characters who are nothing like me. There’s nothing like falling in love with a book,” Hager (the daughter of a former librarian and FLOTUS, Laura Bush) reflected at the start of 2023.
Having a book club is her way of involving others in this passion, and fans of the TODAY co-anchor can't get enough of her fantastic book selections! As of August 2024, her book list is 69 titles strong — and its getting bigger and better every month.
“When we started Read With Jenna, we hoped to build a community of people who wanted to read here and there. I don’t think we ever could have imagined that we’d have. a community that’s so engaged and compassionate," Hager told TODAY.com as the project celebrated its fourth anniversary.
